Fujitsu Futro S100 Thin Client

Fujitsu’s offering to the low power pc world comes with the Fujitsu Futro S100 Thin Client, which features a 500MHz VIA Eden ULV processor and a peak power usage of just 1 Watt! The Futro S100 is a completely silent thin client, as there’s no fan and no magnetic storage device. When idle, the PC uses just 0.1W of power!

The VIA Futro S100 also features a VX800 media system processor, support for 1GB of DDR2 system memory, two USB 2.0 ports, a VGA port, an ethernet port, and support for an internal compact flash disc. Clearly the Futro S100 is designed for a server-based computing environment, with support for a whole range of virtualisation packages, including the Linux-based eLux RL and eLux Lite, VMware, Citrix and Windows CE 6.0.

At the time of writing, no pricing information is available. The Fujitsu FUTRO S100 seems to be targeted at business use rather than at home users however.
